We are looking to grow the project management function within Continental, Burgess Hill. The role will provide an external facing representation of the business during the full lifecycle of projects including project acquisition and execution phases. The role would be part of the Camera Product team, and the selected candidate will be closely working with a talented group of Computer Vision algorithm and software engineers. The right candidate has the opportunity to influence an exciting technological area of the industry with diverse projects in the Driver Assistance and Automated Driving segment.

Your Tasks

  • Provide technical leadership to the project team, especially from perspective of system and chain of effects
  • Breakdown of customer features into technical work packages
  • Understand system architecture on both functional and software viewpoints
  • Conformity to Engineering processes and practices, including ASPICE and Agile framework
  • Define project objectives
  • Planning and monitoring of project goals, schedules, work packages, resources, and budget
  • Change & Problem Resolution Management
  • Dependency & Risk Management
  • Creation of project documentation (Project plan, Open Items Tracking, Change Management, Configuration Management, Team list, etc.)
  • Regular communication with external customers and internal stakeholders
  • Collaboration with other project teams, locally and globally
  • Support Business Developer and / or Project Manager with acquisitions
  • Support Team Lead with team building, upskilling and staffing

 

Your Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Pro-active growth mindset in application of self and team leadership
  • Proven experience in a similar technical leadership position, for example, leading a product / project development
  • Previous project management experience and skills to include effort/cost estimation and project planning, tracking and controlling
  • Good Leadership skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and organisational credibility
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication and ability to present results and ideas
  • Preferred experience in any of the following fields: Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Autonomous Driving
