We are currently looking for a Software Engineer with a background in signal processing to join our team at our Burgess Hill office. The successful candidate will show a willingness to take on the role of Scrum Master/Team Facilitator, with certification and prior experience in a similar position being advantageous. As well as being analytical and focused, the Scrum Master should help to motivate, support, and empower others in the team.

 

Your Tasks

  • Develop algorithms in C for RADAR
    • Concept development, implement and verify algorithms for signal processing applications
    • Embedded software design and development in C to production delivery standards
    • Use input from multiple sensor systems to implement primarily (but not limited to) ADAS functionalities
    • Develop validation methods and tools required to verify functionality at Software and Algorithmic level
    • Perform software tests through unit tests, simulation and automated testing (SIL/HIL), as well as live testing in vehicles
    • Ensure the quality of the delivered software; as well as improving code quality metrics of existing code
    • Support Sensor detection SW teams to create well structured, high-quality, fully-tested products
    • Collaboration with worldwide teams
    • Support optimisation of algorithms on embedded platform, including usage of hardware accelerators and SoC-specific multi-core methods when required.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Maths or Physics (MSc preferred) with a mandatory background in signal processing
  • Proven C programming skills (Windows) essential
  • Experience of SW Design methods, UML, Test Driven Development
  • Good understanding of Code Quality metrics, Unit Testing, Static Analysis, Design Patterns
  • Experience of using Continuous Integration, build systems, CMake, Git, GitHub, Gerrit, Jenkins
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to present results and ideas

In addition to the above, the following would be desired but not essential for the role:

  •  At least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
  • Advanced C++ programming skills (Windows and Linux)
  • Previous experience in the Automotive industry
  • Background in RADAR signal processing or classification techniques
  • Experience with safety-critical applications and automotive industry standards such as ASPICE, MISRA
