Our Auburn Hills, MI location is seeking Senior Staff Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has skills in embedded software architecture for various in-vehicle automotive electronics.
Your Tasks
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide technical leadership and mentor personnel within the software group.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate software/system development content and timing.
- Provide support to application teams for identification of root cause for issues and corrective action plans.
- Responsible for the software/system products developed by CES.
- Lead technical discussions (prepare / present responses) with customers.
- The ideal candidate is disciplined and can foster a team environment.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the quotation process by providing effort estimations and technical offer content
- Ensure all aspects of production processes for software and calibration programming are properly verified and validated.
- Responsible for development of new products, and changes to existing products
- Assistance with other tasks as needed and determined by Management
- Responsible to lead projects and people to meet customer expectations
Your Profile
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in: Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in embedded development
- 2-5 years of experience with C or C++ programming
- Experience with AUTOSAR
- Experience with various communication protocols like CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI and UART
- Basic understanding of electrical schematics
- Experience using measurement devices like multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Must be willing to travel (approximately 10%) supporting internal and customer development trips.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- 5-7 years of professional experience with C/C++ programming and embedded development.
- Experience in Linux kernel/app development
- Experience with RTOS
