At the beginning of 2019, a new Continental Engineering Services (CES) Outlet opened at Continental Automotive Austria GmbH in Vienna. CES focuses on small series production projects for well-known sports car brands such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley, Aston Martin etc. We are currently setting up a CES team comprising various disciplines.

As Lead Hardware Engineer (m/w/d), you are responsible for the development of Power Closure control units (obstruction sensors for sliding roofs and window regulators), light control units and control units for electrically dimmable glasses for passenger cars, luxury and electric vehicles.

Your tasks

  • Technical project management for Electrical Engineering, from acquisition to industrialization including project planning and team management
  • Analysis of customer requirements; Definition of electronic architectures, features and modules, design, development, qualification, and review of new circuit modules
  • Interface in coordination with mechanics and software
  • Selection and design of electrical components
  • Creation of documentation according to typical standards and customer requirements
  • Technical contact person in the Electrical Engineering department for project management as well as customers
  • Customer visits and on-site presentations
  • Development of Engine Control regarding Power Closures
  • Development of DC/DC converter for LED applications μController application 16/32 bit
  • Application of EEPROM, Flash and DRAM memory, digital interfaces, serial interfaces, CAN, LIN, LVDS
  • Commissioning of ECUs and test systems
  • Support of the Design Validation

Your Profile

  • University Degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Technical Computer Science)
  • Several years of experience in automotive development, ideally in interior electronics (e.g., controllers, gateways, ECUs)
  • Profound knowledge and experience in project management and hardware development
  • Knowledge of electrical qualifications and EMC desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, affinity to concise summary and presentation of content; customer experience desirable
  • Requirements analysis and implementation for ECU hardware
  • Experience in circuit design, circuit planning simulation with Spice desirable
  • Knowledge of Zuken layout and schematic desirable
  • Secure management of MS Office programs
  • Very good German and English language skills
  • Pro-active, team oriented and self-motivated

The minimum collective contractual annual salary according to KV FEEI is €49,952.70 gross on a full-time basis. There is a willingness to overpay depending on your specific qualification and professional experience.
