We are looking for a manager with responsibility for all CES business and engineering activities in Asia. Target is to achieve sustainable and profitable business growth for CES in Asia. Main tasks are the optimization of business strategy, business development and engineering footprint as well as staffing and leading the CES Asia management team.
Location of the position could be Germany or Asia.

Your Tasks

Strategy / Planning:

  • Break down of global CES strategy to CES Asia and ensure technology and business alignment
  • Define and execute suitable strategy for markets, customers and products/services in Asia

Organization Building:

  • Realization of an efficient regional management, organization and reporting lines to foster “passion to win”
  • Realization of efficient engineering footprint

External / Internal Relations:

  • Create and maintain strategic relations to customers, CES Management and Regional BA Management and build sustainable trust
  • Identification of opportunities for colaboration with internal and external partners


  • Provide strategic orientation: Definition and tracking of tangible goals, provide feedback and guidance
  • Perform employee dialogues with Asia management team as well as Management of conflicts and escalations

Quality / Productivity / Sustainability:

  • Ensure compliance with CES worldwide Quality and Sustainability processes and guidelines
  • Alignment with CES worldwide, nominate suitable responsables and track conformance and KPIs

Tracking and Reporting:

  • Definition and tracking of suitable KPIs: Creation of monthly business reviews and presentation to CES Management as well as initiation of counter measures in case of deviation from KPIs

Your Profile

  • Master degree in engineering or business administration
  • Several years of work experience in the automotive industry
  • Several years of experience in leading business and leaders
  • Experience in international R&D Project management
  • Market knowledge Asia (Japan, China, India, ASEAN, …)
  • Fluent English language skills (written and spoken)
  • German language skills desirable
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Intercultural competency as well as excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (at least 50% of working time in Asia)
