We are looking for a hands-on Algorithm for our Burgess Hill office, where we develop advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) for highly automated and self-driving cars.
The position offers the chance to work on the most advanced SW in automotive industry. There will be opportunities to continuously develop new skills and knowledge, not only through training but also via access to technical experts from around the world.
The successful candidate will join a diverse team covering a wide spectrum of competencies from algorithm design to senior SW architecture, with support on all aspects of SW engineering (e.g. Quality, requirements, test).
The role consists in developing SW from requirement analysis to design and implementation through to testing. The development is of highest quality to comply with strict automotive standards.

Your Tasks

  • Design, develop and validate Automated Parking function using Ultrasonic Sensors. Core topics include Ultrasonic signal processing, Environmental Modeling, Object Tracking and Classification, Sensor Fusion
  • Analytic & interdisciplinary thinking, interest in complex tasks
  • Optimize algorithm in terms of memory, runtime, and customer performance targets
  • Develop tools and data visualizations to effectively gain insight into performance of the relevant functions
  • Analyze recorded data from test vehicles to assist with addressing issues identified in validation
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering teams, both internal and external, to define requirements, architecture and test methods to ensure on-time and successful delivery of the project.
  • Maintain high-quality design documentation

Your Profile

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Quantitative knowledge and aptitude as evidenced, for example, by a sound undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a scientific or engineering subject is essential.
  • Analytic & interdisciplinary thinking, interest in complex tasks
  • Good knowledge of signal processing and algorithms development
  • Experience in Kalman Filter / Object Tracking
  • Experience on usage of sensor data and interfacing
  • Very good programming abilities (C, C++ and Matlab/Simulink)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to present results and ideas

ADVANTAGEOUS QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Ultrasonic Data Processing in Automotive applications.
  • Familiar with configuration management system like PTC (MKS), SVN, GIT
  • Experience in USS/Radar/automotive domains
  • Practical experience with Vector Tools (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, CAPL-Script)
