RSX Motorsport ABS Kit

CES RSX Racing Brakes

Our new CES RSX motorsports ABS unit, based on our high-performance MK100, has been designed for all types of racing vehicles. Our new software approach provides the best braking performance in-class outperforming our competitors on bumpy courses such as the Nurburgring Nordschleife section.  Included with the kit is the IMU (6-DOF), an additional pressure sensor, mode switches, and all required connectors.

Available immediately: CES engineering services for custom brake application projects based on the RSX motorsports ABS unit.  Contact us

Available in summer 2022: The RSX motorsports ABS kit will be available to purchase. CES is currently growing a dealership network for distribution.

The CES RSX motorsports ABS unit and kit are not intended for use on open roads.  They may only be used on race tracks or private property.

System Overview

  • ABS unit assembly (HECU)
  • Weight: 1990 g
  • Dimensions: 154 x 105 x 111 mm³

Software Functions included with Kit

  • Racing ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), tuned to maximum performance under racing conditions
  • Selection of 12 modes (max. stability … performance)
  • Independent function-OFF-switch
  • The setting of vehicle parameters by the usage of a set-up tool

Software Functions with CES Custom Brake Application

  • Racing Torque Vectoring optionally
  • Racing AYC (Active Yaw Control) optional
  • And much more…

Electronic Control Unit (ECU) – Outputs:

  • 1x Vehicle CAN Interface (adjustable to 500kBit/s or 1Mbit/s)
    • Wheel Speeds (FL, FR, RL, RR)
    • Accelerations (X, Y, Z; -5g … +5g)
    • Angular rates (X, Y, Z; -156°/s … +156°/s)
    • Brake circuit pressures (Front, Rear)
    • Function activation flags
    • Mode selection states
    • Function disable flags
    • Warning lamps
  • Hardwired outputs
    • Warning lamps
    • Vehicle speed
    • Brake light

Electronic Control Unit (ECU) – Inputs:

  • 1x Private CAN Interface
    • Steering Wheel Angle Sensor
    • Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
  • 4x Active Wheel speed sensors (not included)
  • 1x External brake pressure sensor
  • 1x 12-Position rotary switch (mode selection)
  • 2x Push button switch (function disabling, not included)

Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU)

  • Brake circuit split: Front/Rear
    • allows the usage of brake balance bars
  • Unit will be delivered pre-filled
    • No complex fill & bleed procedure necessary
    • Conventional bleeding of the brake system is sufficient

Delivery Content

  • RSX Pre-Filled Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU)
  • Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)
  • External Pressure Sensor
  • One 12 position rotary switch
  • Three electrical connectors for IMU, ECU and external pressure sensor
  • SW Configuration tool
  • Installation and user manual

  • Our CES RSX Motorsport ABS system is designed for front-rear split applications. The system offers one internal and an additional external pressure sensor, which enables capturing the exact pressure on both brake circuits even if a brake balance bar is in use.  The result is more accurate control performance.
  • A configuration tool is included in the kit which enables you to customize the parameters to suit your target vehicle.
  • An additional external pressure sensor is also included.
  • The HCU is provided pre-filled to enable easy rapid integration and save you the trouble and complexity of bleeding the brake system.
  • Provides configuration support for third-party (only class-III type supported) steering wheel angle sensor or Electric Power Steering (EPS) systems.
