Recap of Our Technologies and Innovations for the Railway Industry
From September 24-27, 2024, Continental Engineering Services (CES) participated in the prestigious InnoTrans 2024 fair in Berlin, Germany. As part of the broader Continental booth, CES showcased cutting-edge technologies and engaged with global industry leaders in the railway sector. This year’s InnoTrans was an opportunity to highlight how CES is shaping the future of railway interiors and safety systems.
Immersive Demonstrations: A Full-Sized Train Experience
At the heart of our participation was an impressive live train exhibit, where visitors could directly experience CES innovations in action. Technologies like our Driver Attention Assistance System and the head-up display were on full display, enhancing both operator safety and passenger comfort. These technologies enhance real-time monitoring and situational awareness, ensuring safer and more efficient train operations. Visitors were able to see, hear, and feel the impact of these systems through live demonstrations.
We also showcased our award-winning Ac2ated Sound System, originally designed for the automotive industry but now adapted for railways. This space-saving, high-quality audio system was a crowd favorite, demonstrating how CES is revolutionizing train interiors.
Thought Leadership and Expert Engagement
Our participation wasn’t just about showcasing products; CES also contributed to the industry’s knowledge pool through two engaging lectures.
The first, titled “Continental Engineering Services und Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF): Innovative Zusammenarbeit für mehr Sicherheit”, was a collaboration with the Verkehrsgesellschaft Frankfurt am Main (VGF). Speakers Lothar Wolf (VGF), Achim Voigt (CES), and Matthias Clemenz (CES) discussed how their partnership is driving advancements in railway safety.
The second lecture, led by Rene Wiesner, Senior Engineer Cybersecurity and Privacy at CES, focused on the increasingly critical issue of Cybersecurity for Railway. As railway systems become more digitized, securing these networks from potential threats has become paramount, and CES is at the forefront of developing these solutions.
A Bright Future for Railway Innovation
Continental Engineering Services’ involvement at InnoTrans 2024 was a resounding success, showcasing not just our technologies, but also our commitment to fostering collaboration within the industry. The event highlighted how CES is pushing the boundaries of railway safety, comfort, and efficiency. Our team was proud to engage with customers, industry experts, and partners throughout the event, driving conversations that will shape the future of rail transport.
InnoTrans 2024 reaffirmed CES as a leader in bringing cutting-edge solutions to the rail industry, and we are already looking forward to continuing these conversations and innovations at future events.
