From the Road to the Cloud – From Virtual to Real! The term SDV (Software-defined Vehicle) is one of the key topics in the automotive industry. A new vehicle architecture is being introduced, with a consistent separation of hardware and software. This enables rapid development and implementation of solutions over the entire life cycle of the vehicle. Both in the development of new solutions and for the transition to software-defined vehicles, we offer innovations, products and expertise for the mobility solutions of tomorrow as part of the Road to Cloud Ecosystem. Within this we deliver hardware enablers, software enablers, software solutions, and system integration.

Intelligent Glass is a state-of-the-art solution with multiple applications. It allows flexible transparency and coloration settings for any glazed surface ensuring greater control over privacy and light penetration. Moreover, glass de-icing time can be reduced significantly using our glass heating function. Additionally, we offer an LED embedding option that facilitates a high degree of flexibility for sophisticated light design. Finally, we can integrate photovoltaics into glass for supporting the vehicle’s electrical system, battery charging or cooling purpose.
All functionalities are available for nearly any glass shape and form. They can be controlled manually by touch or gestures, automatically by sensors, or controlled by any signal received by communication interface.

At Continental Engineering Services, we offer advanced Cabin Sensing solutions that utilize a range of sensors, including camera and radar technologies, to capture and evaluate the driver, passengers, and other objects in the cabin. Our goal is to provide a holistic human-machine interaction solution that offers an exclusive user experience and maximizes safety.
One of our most innovative solutions is the Continental Interior Camera System, which enables the driver and the vehicle to interact and communicate with each other seamlessly. With a well-executed integration, the camera can be invisible to the driver while still providing a clear view of the driver’s actions and state. Our primary focus is on safety-related functionalities, especially given recent legislative changes (GSR) requiring vehicles to monitor drivers for attentiveness and drowsiness.
This year, we will be showing two demo vehicles at Eliv. You will not only get to experience Continental Engineering Services’ Ac2ated Sound system, but also Continental’s Software-Defined Vehicle.
Both will be on the ground floor.
