Chassis Domain Controller
For the realisation of complex HAD functions, a central domain controller is required, which unites different sensors, evaluates and initiates respective reactions of the vehicle. By means of our Chassis Domain Control Unit (CDCU), we provide a Host ECU, which can be used for the prototypical realization of HAD functions. Thus, it can be used for safety-relavent applications up to ASIL-D level and provides a high-performing platform for in-house and third-party development, for example for highly-automated driving.

Redundant Brake System
Highly Automated Driving (HAD) applications require redundant brake architecture to achieve safety goals. Therefore, the architecture consists of two independently controlled brake systems. The monitoring is already integrated into the system to enable the fail operational mode, required for HAD. The brake system will react
to either driver or HAD inputs.
With our brake systems MK C1 and MK 100 HABE, we can offer you a redunant brake system, developed for the use of HAD functions. Moreover, it possesses an excellent noise and vibration behavior. High dynamic and recuperation can also be realized by means of the Brake-by-wire technology. For prototype projects, we have our own team, specialized in the installation, integration and application of brake systems for prototypical applications.
Test and Simulation
Highly-automated driving incorporates a complex variety of test scenarios. However, for complying with the required short development cycles, an efficient test management is of great importance. CES offers comprehensive test services. In our test concepts, we place particular emphasis on a reasonable coordination between a real test drive on the road and a virtual test drive in the simulation. Hence, we can reduce the scope of tests and consequently reduce the development period. Besides the development of test concepts and their management, we likewise offer the run of tests and simulations. Among others, our services in the area testing include the development of test vehicles, the conduct of tests by experienced engineers as well as the organization of endurance runs. In the area of Simulation, we build virtual prototypes and complete test databases. These test databases can run automatically and essentially contribute to the requirements-based testing.
